Here are some stats, some sleepers and some tidbits to help guide your fantasy baseball team:
Freddy Garcia P Seattle: Freddy Garcia is pitching remarkably well right now. Too bad Seattle can't score any runs for him. In his 6 starts, Seattle has scored 13 total runs (3 of which have come in the 10th inning or later). Boil it down and he is getting 2.16 runs per start. His E.R.A is 2.11 and he is only 1-1. Is he that good or is it a fluke? I doubt he stays as good as he has been, but I will go out on a limb and say that he won't fall apart this year.
Here are some guys you might be able to pick up below their value:
Mark Mulder P Oakland: He hasn't been that sharp this year, but let's not forget that he was a complete game machine at the beginning of last year. He should return back to form and that 4.12 E.R.A should drop by half a run over time. In the last 3 years his E.R.A's have been 3.46, 3.48 and 3.13. Get him if you can.
Jason Marquis P Saint Louis: 5 quality starts in a row (which is 6 innings pitched and 3 ER or less), he is only 25 years old and might finally be ready to breakthrough. In a keeper league, try to go and get him now. 3.82 E.R.A
