John Kerry last week professed to be a big fan of "Manny Ortez," then re-emphasized the phoofery by correcting it to "David Ortez." No, that was Dave (Baby) Cortez and "The Happy Organ." A few years back Kerry went on a Boston station with Eddie Andelman and said "my favorite Red Sox player of all time is The Walking Man, Eddie Yost," who never played for the Red Sox.

Long Time, No Talk!
I apologize to all my fan(s) whom I have left hanging for the last few weeks, but things were way too hectic. What happened? 1) I left my job with my finance firm. Without boring you with the details, it just got to the point where it was not a healthy environment to work in anymore. So now I am working for an online educational company (a start-up) named Communication Fitness. Did I mention I am a Vice-President? Sorry, it is my first (and probably my last) VP position. 2) I moved, just like my sister, except only to a different floor of my two-family house. Still very exciting. 3) We got a new puppy...pictures to come very soon. His name is Franklin, he is eleven weeks old and he is a fawn Pug.
So anyway, I am sort of settled in now, and will resume regular postins. You can always catch my straight -laced stuf on the Gothamist sports section.

Uber Cobra is out!
Widespread Panic (my favorite band) is on a yearlong hiatus right now (7 months and 13 days later...) HOWEVER there is some reason for Panic-Stricken fans to be excited today. Panic has released "Uber Cobra", a variety of songs taken from the nov 6 and 7th shows in Mrytle Beach that are all acoustic.
